ANNOUNCEMENT & UPDATES
This Saturday we resume the series with Imam Sophiyan “Stories of the Prophets”.
Come join us as we dive into the story of Prophet Dawud and Shamweel AS after Maghrib on March 28th. You don’t want to miss this!
For Eid Prayer, please do not park in front of the masjid and new CCC construction site.
This area will be used for overflow of people and will be spots for Eid Imams, Eid Supplies and Food.
Please do not block the churches or neighbor driveways, and do not park along the basketball court fence and anywhere in Aki Kurose Middle School.
Eid will be on Friday, March 20th due to no moon sighting.
There will be two sessions of Eid Prayer with the first one led by Imam Sophiyan in English at 8:30AM, followed by a second prayer led by Toun Yakkob in Cham at 9:30AM.
Due to limited space, we encourage praying at a masjid near your home and joining us after the last Eid Prayer for food and giveaways.
If attending, please come early, park appropriately (don’t block driveways, entrances, etc), be prepared to park and walk far, and bring a prayer mat. Carpool if possible.
If you pray in the first group, please leave after salah to make space for others who plan to pray the second prayer.
Also, with our Seattle rain forecast, feel free to bring camping canopies.
We look forward to celebrating with you and hope you take advantage of the last day of Ramadan inshaAllaah. May Allah accept your fast and prayers.
While we are able to accept Zakatul Fitr, we strongly encourage everyone to give directly to those in need if possible. Doing so, makes one know their community and strengthen the bonds of one another.
It is an individual’s obligation to give zakatul fitr for oneself and their household before Eid Prayer and preferably, find those who can benefit from it.
Zakatul fitr can be given to the Imam by Asr. It is $12 per person and cash is only accepted.
On Eid, the masjid will be providing beef curry, but any additional contributions such as water cases, cooked rice, fried chicken, and other dishes are greatly appreciated.
We look forward to celebrating this joyous day with all of you. The more we share, the better the celebration, inshaAllah.
As Eid approaches, we will be preparing the masjid and setting up tent canopies for the Eid prayer on Wednesday at 9:00 AM. Volunteers are welcome to come help with the preparations. We greatly appreciate any assistance, inshaAllah.
Parents are kindly reminded that if their children plan to participate in i‘tikaaf at the masjid, they must be accompanied by an adult chaperone for safety reasons. Thank you for your cooperation.
